Poly6 will invest in Eastlake

·

Poly6 will invest $20.5 million in its proposed project, including $13 million for machinery and equipment and $7.5 million for building costs, the project will add 164 new positions.

Poly6 Technologies applies complex processes in aerospace casting. The company’s advanced ceramic additive technology enables production of multi-wall ceramic cores with geometries that are very difficult to achieve with conventional methods. These cores form the internal cooling passageways in turbine engine airfoils, enabling the higher-temperature operation and improved efficiency required by next-generation engines. Poly6 emerged from MIT’s Langer Lab in 2016 and is part of a global team to push the boundaries of air travel to efficiencies never before seen.

Parent Company Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is a global manufacturer of highly engineered investment castings and precision sand castings for the aerospace, defense, and industrial gas turbine markets. With advanced manufacturing facilities across the U.S., Mexico, and Europe, CPP produces complex airfoil, structural, and engine components in a wide range of alloy systems. CPP’s castings support a wide range of mission-critical applications, including commercial and military aircraft, regional and business jets, helicopters, weapons systems, industrial gas turbines, and submarines.
