From September 9, 2022, groundbreaking, the original completion date was set for 2025, it is now targeting 2030 with production in 2031 for the Mod 1 Fabrication Plant. The Mod 2 Fabrication Plant Construction is targeting for completion in 2031, with operations beginning in 2032.

The original cost estimate was $28 billion, thus far, $4.7 billion has been spent on construction with $7 billion committed.

Funding from the U.S. Department of Commerce under the CHIPS and Science Act is at $1.5 billion, the State of Ohio is providing more than $2 billion in incentives.

The primary construction is happening around the intersection of major roads that have undergone significant improvements, including State Route 161, Green Chapel Road, and Mink Street, construction is on 926 acres.
