Spazzolplastica is building up its U.S. production base in plastics and wire, opening a site in Mentor to make wire basket spools.  The firm already operates a molding plant in Stow, making plastic spools and drums.

In December 2025, Spazzolplastica merged with AM Teknostampi SpA to make a new firm titled Teknospool srl. Officials said the merger “will enable the acquisition and sharing of new cross-functional competencies related to the processing of plastics, wire, steel, aluminum and magnesium, further strengthening the Group’s innovative capacity and its competitiveness in international markets.”

With specific reference to plastic injection molding, they said the merger will create an integrated manufacturing hub with more than 50 injection molding machines. It also will allow for a significant expansion of operational capacity and increased autonomy and flexibility in job management, through the in-house production of the related molds.
