Ohio Art a manufacture that works in metal lithography for the packaging industry will expand after the purchase of all of the assets of Allstate Can Company, a company that manufactures in Parsippany New Jersey and Carson City Nevada. The expanded company will now provide steel sourcing and servicing companies, pre-press platemaking resources, conventional coating and printing, UV coating and printing, metal stamping, full-service can making and warehousing. 

The Ohio Art Company expects to create 53 full-time-equivalent positions, as a result of the company’s consolidation project in Bryan. The proposed project involves facility upgrades and the purchase of machinery and equipment required to consolidate its operations from New Jersey to Ohio.

Metal lithography is a printing process that uses a flat metal plate—often made of zinc or aluminum—to create an image. It is based on the fundamental principle that oil and water do not mix. In Offset Lithography the image is first transferred (“offset”) onto a rubber blanket cylinder and then onto the metal.
