OPMobility is expanding its North American plastics manufacturing footprint with plans to build a new Ohio plant featuring advanced injection molding technology, creating more than 500 jobs as part of a broader effort to double its U.S. sales by 2030.

The Levallois-Perret, France-based company said the facility will begin production in the second half of 2027 and manufacture exterior automotive components, including bumpers, grilles and tailgates.  The operation, will include advanced injection molding equipment, a high-efficiency double-sided paint line, automation and digital manufacturing technologies.

OPMobility, formerly known as Plastic Omnium, is one of the world’s largest automotive plastics suppliers. The company manufactures exterior systems, lighting products, fuel systems, battery packs and hydrogen technologies and reported sales of $13.1 billion in 2025.

The company’s exterior systems division is a leading manufacturer of injection-molded plastics, producing bumpers, tailgates, spoilers, and related components for automakers around the globe. According to company data, OPMobility provides exterior systems for approximately one in every six vehicles produced worldwide.
